How do I stop Spotify from showing on my computer lock screen?

How do I stop Spotify from showing on my computer lock screen? Because I don't want to show Spotify player after screen locked.

Hi there @Sohaibahmadu,

 

Thanks for reaching out. If you go to the Spotify app settings and disable the option "Show desktop overlay when using media keys", the lock screen widget should not appear anymore.

Where is this setting at??? I can't find it anywhere.

@DeanaV0201 - you should be able to find it in the desktop app settings. Just follow these steps:

 

  1. Open the desktop app.
  2. Click on your profile image in the top right corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Scroll down to Display.
  5. Switch off Show desktop overlay when using media keys.

Feature is switched on.

 

Keep in mind that this feature isn't available in the Web Player, so make sure that you're following the steps using the desktop app.
