Hi there @furret7!
Sounds like you're using the Web Player in a browser instead. Spotify's features vary depending on the platform you're using. To get the full set, it's best you use the standalone desktop app, which you can download either from our website or the Microsoft Store.
Hope this clears things up. Cheers!
I only have 2 settings in the desktop app, language and display, is there a reason for this and how do I fix this?
i downloaded that app on my chrome book and the settings are still not there
Hey there @abbey_yummy,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.
Keep in mind that there's no official Spotify app for Chromebook. Instead, you can install the Android app by following these steps.
When using the Android app, you should be able to find your Settings by clicking on your profile picture in the upper left corner > click the gear icon to open the Settings menu. If you still can't see them, would you mind sending over a screenshot where we can take a look at what you're seeing from your end?
We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
of course! ill send it if there is any problems. thanks for replying.
so, i looked through the instructions and it said my Chromebook is not compatible for android apps..! I just wanted to do cross fade. is there any other way to do so?
Hi @abbey_yummy,
Thanks for getting back to us!
We understand where you're coming from. However, if your device is not compatible with Android apps, the only option would be to use the Web player and it currently does not have these settings.
You can have a look in our Idea Exchange to see if someone else has already made a similar suggestion. If there isn't one, you can give these steps a go and submit your own idea so that other users can also support it. The higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for it to be implemented.
Hope this sheds some light on the situation. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here.
Cheers!
Thank you!! it was alot of help.
I want to turn of the hardware acceleration bottom (compatibility) because I constantly hear cracks during the songs. Unfortunately, I can't find this bottom in my settings. Can someone tell me where I can find this bottom?
