Hey there @Noot_Ropic!

Heads up: I've moved your post in to a separate thread, as the issue you're describing seems different than the one reported in the other thread you originally posted in.

With the desktop app, you can add all songs in a playlist to your Liked Songs by selecting them with Ctrl + A, then right-clicking > Save to your Liked Songs.

Note that Ctrl + A does not work on the Web Player, but you can still use the Shift key to select songs.

Hope this helps. Feel free to elaborate further in case you meant something else.

Cheers 🙂

made playlists based off of “made for you” playlists without liking the songs as i added them and now i want to add all the songs on the playlist to my liked songs, is there a way to mass add songs instead of going one by one through the playlist?

Hello Yordan,

I am attempting to move all my liked songs from a previous account to a new one. As part of that, I put all of my songs in a playlist and am attempting to "like" all of them. However, when I attempt to use the Ctrl+A solution above, it says "something went wrong" when I attempt to "Save to your liked songs".

I have around 3500 songs so it would be very annoying to have to like them all individually. Could you please advise on a solution?

Hi folks!

@riverking, most likely you have local files in the playlist, which is why the error message shows up. What you can do is turn on Smart Shuffle for that playlist from the toggle at the top - this will temporarily hide any local files you have, so you can give it another try and it should work.

@nat2point0, apologies for the late reply, I just stumbled upon your post. You can use the workaround above for the desktop app, that should do the trick. If you meant something else, feel free to elaborate further by including as much relevant info as possible.

Cheers 🤘

I have 20000 songs in my favourite tracks, and when i create playlist via ctrl+a i get a "Something went wrong". Is there any way to fix it? Or is it just too much music to work with?

hey i tried Ctrl + A but it says "something went wrong" and doesn't save all songs in the playlist to liked songs. please help :c

Hi Yordan,

Thanks for the tip!

Does this add the songs from the playlist as the most recent additions? I would like to merge my favorites list (from before the time of a liked songs list) with my liked songs list, however I would like that old list to be added at the bottom of the liked songs list instead of on top (thus being considered new additions, which they in a sense are not). Probably not possible (to take the original date of adding to a playlist as a reference for sorting, since I presume the date added is only based on the date songs where added to the target list), but you never know...

Thanks!

Kind regards,

Nick

Hey @JuJu777 & @Shturmoven,

Keep in mind that the regular playlist limit is around 10000 songs, unlike with the Liked Playlist.
With this being said, you can try selecting batches of songs and not all of them (with Shift). This should work unless there's some type of file like a podcast that is preventing the process.

And @Woudloper, any new songs added to the Liked Playlist can only be sorted by the default options. For any custom sorting, you can create a separate playlist instead 🙂

Hope this helps clear things up, folks! Let us know in case any further questions arise.
