Sharing playlists - will it update automatically on other's PC's?

Sharing playlists - will it update automatically on other's PC's?

Morning all,

 

I am wanting to create a playlist, that I share with three friends.

 

If, once I have shared the playlist with them, add more music to the playlists, will this new music automatically appear in the playlist on their PC, or do they need to do anything (like update the playlist or do I need to share it again?).

 

Likewise, if I delete music from the playlist, will it automatically be deleted from the playlist on their PC.

 

Lastly, can my friend add music to the playlist that I share, and if so will it appear on my PC?

Yes, if your friends follow your playlist, any changes you make to it will automatically appear on their accounts too without having to do anything.

As for other's adding tracks, you can do that to by enabling the "Collaborative playlist" option if you right click on the playlist name in the sidebar. Once you have done that, same thing the playlist will get updated everywhere when it is changed.

What if a song is deleted by one, is ir deleted for the others?

A deleted song will likewise disappear from the Playlist across all profiles 🙂

What about changing the playlist name, does this change the link URL? So that when you update the name, the previous link doesn't work anymore?

Nope 🙂 Changing the name of the playlist won't impact the URL: it's still the same playlist, so the link will also remain the same.
