Hi @Crashy03,

Thanks for posting this thread in the Community!

As corrupted cache can cause different performance issues, I advise that you perform a clean reinstall if you haven't already done so. You can check out the steps here.

In case this doesn't change anything, you can delete the current app version and instead download Spotify from the Microsoft Store. Sometimes the apps can have different behavior.

Lastly if the issue persists, let us know in case this happens in the Web Player as well.

We'll be on the lookout 🙂

Thanks for the advice, i did a fresh install on my computer. still from the webpage and it seems to be working, somewhat.

for some reason the shuffle does not work when i have my app language on Swedish, but it works perfectly on English. It does the same on the Web player if i have the language set to Swedish, but it stopped after a fresh install if i have my app set on English and not Swedish

Like the mod suggested, the cache might be the problem why not give the location of the cache and the action needed to clean it up. Because I would prefer something like that over re-installing an app and dealing with a microsoft store. I understand that a clean re-install might fix more problems. But navigating to a folder is easier than downloading an installer and logging in with a microsoft acount.

Here were my steps to solving this problem:

  • Click the Start button.
  • Select Settings.
  • Open System.
  • Click Apps & features, then select Spotify.
  • Click Advanced options
  • scroll down to the header "Reset"
  • Click repair, start spotify and pressing the shuffle button. (this didn't work for me)
  • Small warning, you will need to log in again after this next step:
  • Click "Reset"
  • Log back in to Spotify
  • Listen to your jams. Like Ordos or Machinae Supremacy on shuffle
