Songs pause every 3 seconds on all devices (Periodic Issue)

Songs pause every 3 seconds on all devices (Periodic Issue)

Listening to songs all day on Windows and/or Android, and suddenly playback pauses. I can resume playback, but will only play for about 3 seconds before pausing again. Every time this issue happens, it always plays for about 3 seconds and pauses again. This issue occurs on all device I switch to, and persists more than 10min (probably longer, but I switch to listening elsewhere because it is extremely annoying)

A few weeks ago I noticed this issue once every few days. This week, it has been happening every day. The past 2 days it has happened at roughly 4:10PM (EST), but it has happened at other times.

Other Spotify users I know experience the same issue.

Welcome to the Community! In order to get a better understanding of the situation, we'll start gathering some details.

 

It'd be very helpful if you could let us know if you're using any bluetooth devices when this playback issue occurs and what troubleshooting steps you've tried already so we can avoid repeating them.

 

@jong31 have you noticed when this starts happening and if it's after something specific? For instance, are you using the same internet connection across devices and have you restarted the router? We recommend giving it a test with a different connection if it's possible and you can try with sharing mobile data via hotspot if you haven't already done this.

 

Also, does the play button change to this when the playback stops, but when you click it then music resumes?

 

Additionally, to ensure no one else has access to your accounts and is hitting the pause button, we also recommend logging out of all devices just in case and you can do this via the Account Page > scroll down > Sign out everywhere.

why my spotify pauses automatically while listening to music?

this happens on my both my phone and computer apps. I have removed and reinstalled the apps, logged out of all device, changed by password and I don't use discord
