My Question or Issue

Today my Spotify app on my PC gave me Error 409 so I tried redownloading it. Now I cannot play anything at all, see the video I attached. I have reinstalled many times I don't know what to do. Also, Spotify doesn't work in my browser all I see is the photo I attached.

Hi @Spageti

For issues like this, I'd usually recommend clearing your browser's cache, and system's hosts file. Let's try those.

Please follow these instructions to clear your hosts file.

Browser cookies/cache:

I will provide instructions for Chrome, but most browsers follow a very similar process.

1. Make sure you're on the newest version of Chrome. Click on the hamburger menu and go to Help > About Chrome.

Chrome will auto-update if there is one available.

2. Clear your browser's cache and cookies. On the sidebar, on the same update page, click on Privacy and security, and Clear browsing data,

Click on the advanced tab, and select Cookies, Cache, and Hosted app data with the time range set to all time.

3. Restart Chrome by clicking on the hamburger menu and clicking Exit.

Let me know how that goes!

Great! I actually recommended that in my first post, but (admittedly) the formatting was bad, and it was easy to miss.

I'm glad you found it, though!

Have a good one!
