My Question or Issue

Every time I try to listen to the Danger Days album from start to finish, "Jet-Star and the Kobra Kid / Traffic Report" ALWAYS skips without my input. If I try to play just that one song, it will skip to the song right after. It is not greyed out, it is not labeled explicit (but even then, I have explicit music turned on), and I know I have not blocked the artist because it is by the same artist as the rest of the album is. I cannot play it outside of the album either, it just changes to another song immediately.

Hey @hellodarling,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

If you have a Premium subscription, you can pick and play any song you want if it's available in the Spotify catalog. So in this case, and if you haven't tried before, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app on your device to see if it makes any difference. Also, would you mind checking if this happens with other songs or artists?

In case you have a free account, keep in mind that it's expected that the system plays a random song when you pick one since the free tier has the shuffle mode always activated.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.

I use the browser version of Spotify, not the desktop app. I have never had another song or another artist do this before; literally just this one singular track.

I have a free account, and I fully understand the shuffling feature on the mobile app, but that's not supposed to happen on desktop (and with this one exception, it doesn't).

Hey @hellodarling,

Thanks for the clarification!

I tried this in the Web Player with the song you mentioned, but couldn't reproduce the issue. Just to double-check - is this the song you're trying to play or did you mean another one? Can you try restarting your browser and opening the Web Player in a private window to see if that makes a difference? You can also check for any pending browser updates and clear the cache and flush DNS. If that doesn't do the trick, it's worth trying a different browser to see if you get the same behavior there. It'd also be great if you can download the desktop app and try this out there.

Keep us posted.
