My Question or Issue

That error keeps coming up.  I have tried every solution listed so far.

I have reinstalled, I have checked the hosts file, I have refreshed the drivers on the computer, tried to disable hardware accelleration, restarted the computer, clean re-installed Spotify (the full version, not the windows store version), etc. etc.  It works fine in the web browser and all of my other sounds and programs also work just fine.  The only other one not working is WinAmp.

Please help?

Hey @SLW1980 

By any chance have you tried deleting any local file caches? To do this go to %appdata% > roaming > Spotify > User > Your Account Name > delete Local-Files. Additionally, make sure your spotify is closed before doing this.
