Spotify desktop app problems

Spotify desktop app problems

Hi everyone, this is probably the wrong place to ask this but there doesn’t seem to be a technical/software support board.

A few days ago I crashed my computer with 3D software (Cinema 4D) and since then I’ve had issues with my Spotify desktop app on PC (Windows 11). It won’t recognise what I have playing on my phone and so I have to manually play it again. Also none of my playlists are playable and are grayed out as if they’re offline and I get “this content is not available” on everything in playlists.

Futhermore, when I close Spotify and reopen, i get an error that says “the Spotify application is not responding” and will continue saying so until I cancel the 6 different instances of Spotify in my task manager.

I have tried reinstalling, using a PC Cleaner to uninstall, deleting my “user” cache and nothing has worked so far. Coincidentally Microsoft family safety has started bugging me to sign in at exactly the same time this issue began. I’m guessing it could be an antivirus interference or something.

if anyone knows what’s going on here I’d appreciate your insight because I’m stumped.

thanks guys
