Spotify "thinks" it doesn't have an internet connection

My Question or Issue

I am experiencing an issue with the VPN provided by my company, which leads Windows to falsely believe that there is no active internet connection. Despite being connected and having a functional connection, Windows displays an incorrect status.

From my understanding, Spotify relies on Windows to determine whether an internet connection is available. Although this issue may not affect a large number of users, I propose the addition of an option in Spotify Settings to disable the automatic internet connection check. This would also address users facing similar issues.

Using offline mode could have been a workaround, but it is not always reliable, possibly due to the large number of downloaded songs that may not adequately indexed for quick access. Moreover, I still desire to discover and listen to new music recommendations, making offline mode a partial solution at best.

In general (and as you've already noticed), using a VPN might cause issues accessing the Spotify service, so we'd advise against it.
