Spotify will not play some local songs, even if they are in Spotify's database

Having backed Portraits' debut album Monad via Kickstarter, I have now recieved the digital version of the album. It should have been a joyous event. Instead, I am cursed with silence because spotify won't play any of the album tracks. There is no problem with my codec as a large library of other local music, including Portraits' single, "Axis Mundi", play perfectly. What's worse, however, is that the single "From 4.28", of wich I do not have an mp3 file Spotify will play, wil not play at all despite being on Spotify! What is happening, and please fix this. This is a severe error in Spotify.
