Storing downloads on a partitioned hard drive

Storing downloads on a partitioned hard drive

We have a Dell computer that came with a partitioned hard drive - a smaller C: drive for core files and a larger 😧 drive we presume for dowloads and content etc.

The problem we have always had is everything download wants to automatically go to C: drive so you can imagine it has no spare space. The Spotify app is installed on C: drive and I changed the cache to 😧 drive.

Is this enough to make sure all downloaded content from Spotify goes on the to larger 😧 drive or is there another way to do this? I realise we ought to look at downloading the app onto 😧 but haven't found the way to do this via Windows (10).

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated .

Many Thanks.

Hey @ecomama! Welcome to the community!

Alright, according to this article, you can just cut and paste the Spotify executable to another directory. Could you try to move Spotify to your other drive and run it from there? Also, your downloaded music should be saved in the same directory as your cache. Let me know how it goes.

Have a great day! 🙂
