Unable to dislike any song

My Question or Issue

I am a new user on my family plan.  When songs are being played automatically and I don't like one, there is no way for me to say that I do not like the song and do not want to hear it again.  I remember a long time ago there was a dislike button (8+ years ago), but I cannot find it in the new UI for the life of me.

Unfortunately, there isn’t an option to dislike or hide a song on Spotify for Desktop. However, you can do this on Spotify for mobile by tapping the three dots next to the song > Hide song.

This way, Spotify will prevent the song from being played again in the app.

that is rather sad, but at least there still is a way. Thank you.

I am pretty sure that a few weeks ago at least in the "discover daily" there still was a button, but I guess that was "impoved" to only being in the mobile app.

PS: It is still posible to "hide" a complete artist on the artists page with the 3 dots

i mostly use the desktop version i dont get why they would do the extra work of removing features, i pay for spotify premium, i may be able to understand to do it for the free version, but i dont see any use out of it unless they are planning for a new monetary one

I agree it is super annoying!!! Also Hiding on the Phone App doesn't hide it in the Win11 App, seriously ... bring it back.

Echoing that I hate this change. Why am I paying you EXTRA MONEY for a premium service that you're removing features from? I'm going to just cancel my service and go back to listening on youtube, this sucks. 

This is just something that they'll sell back to us in a few months as an Extra Premium service or something. Greedy.

Wow...from a customer's perspective, this is an incredibly stupid decision. Also, this is terrible for artists who may have a lot of other music to offer someone who may have just not like the song included in their Discovery Weekly (or other mix). 

If I had to guess, there's probably some monetary**bleep** advantage to Spotify by further limiting the listener's ability to tailor their experience.
