Hey there, @Yoroinashi,
Welcome to the Spotify Community!
Have you tried installing Spotify from a different source to see if that does the trick? if you downloaded the app from our website, try the version from the Microsoft Store instead and vice versa.
If you have several audio output devices connected to your PC, check if the correct one is set for Spotify. You'll find a detailed guide on how to do that here. In case the issue persists, try resetting the audio settings of your Windows to the defaults. Make sure your sound drivers are up to date as well.
Something else you can do is disable the communication settings, as well as Exclusive Mode and audio enhancements in Windows:
Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes ๐

I have had spotify from both sources and it had no difference, but what helped in the end was disabling communication settings / exclusive mode / audio enhancements. Thank you so much!

My Question or Issue
For some reason the Spotify volume slider will not work despite moving it. Solutions I had attempted from previous board posts were the clean reinstall and to disable the communications and audio enhancements; however, they're not working for me.
Same here, nothing works I donยดt know what to do
Yeah.. it has been week or two on Spotify app on PC that I can't control volume of my streaming device.
Same here it's very annoying cause it's way too loud
I have the same problem and I couldn't find a solution for a week. I had this problem before but I was able to solve it by formatting.
Hey folks,
Apologies for the radio silence here.
Are you still experiencing this issue? Can you please confirm you've tried the steps suggested by @Yordan? Additionally, you can try reinstalling your audio drivers and disabling any audio enhancing software you have on your device.
If the issue persists, please let us know your current OS and app version and send over a short video of the behavior.
@Hasan81, just FYI, we've removed your other thread to keep everything in one place.
We'll be on the lookout for your responses.
For me volume control started working when I controlled my streaming AV amplifier with iOS app and then switched control to Windows app.
I tried all your suggestions but the problem is still not fixed. I know that I can fix it by formatting but I don't want to format it.
Doing The steps in the solution marker "Spoiler" fixed the problem for me

Hey there @Mason23,
Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community.
Could you let us know if this is only happening on your PC or on other devices as well? We'd also like to know if the same happens on the web player.
On another note, would you mind sending us a short screen recording of the issue happening so we can take a closer look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).
We'll be waiting for your reply.
It's only been happening on the app and only on my PC as well, I'll see if I can get a video of it happening

heyy, if you have a razer headset then uninstall synapse, I just did that and spotify came back to normal. If you don't use razer synapse (THX Spatial Audio) then hopefully someone with that same issue might just get the issue fixed either way. Just threw my 2 cents to the thread.
no joke this just helped me tysm
Disabling Synapse or enhancements isn't a solution for me, as I don't want to lose the features of my headset just to make Spotify function correctly.
Has anyone found a way to fix this without removing Razer Synapse or disabling audio enhancements?
