Why do tracks from albums by Various Artists save to Various Artists rather than to their artists?

Why do tracks from albums by Various Artists save to Various Artists rather than to their artists?

I'm curious as to why saved music is dependent on the album creator rather than the track creator in Your Music > Artists. I can understand why, if you saved the entire album, you'd want it to appear under Various Artists rather than making a mess of your saved artists page (especially when saving huge compilation albums), but it is rather annoying to dig through Various Artists to find a track, especially if my Various Artists saved page is several hundred tracks large (as a result of this and album saving). I can see this as also potentially acting as a niusance if you save a track by an artist that was released on another artist's album, as intuitively it would be assumed to be found under the track's creator's page.

EDIT: This behavior has been similarly noted here, with the "Frozen" logo being simply a result of the Frozen soundtrack album the most popular album released under Various Artists.

Yeah, I agree it's confusing. I think it would make the most sense to keep the "Various Artists" label when viewing the albums section so you can actually listen to the full album, but then have tracks grouped together by actual artist in the artists tab as you suggest.
