Why does the music fade in and out?

Why does the music fade in and out?

When music is playing it will "randomly" fade up and down in volume. At one point the music will sound just fine. Then it will fade to 25% volume and just as randomly slowly comes back to normal volume.

Hey there, @endcat,

Thanks for reaching out!

Just to confirm, is this with the desktop app? Have you check if you're able to reproduce the same behavior on the Web Player too?

If you're using any 3rd party sound enhancing app I'd recommend disabling them temporarily to see if that helps. Something else you can do is disable the Communication settings, as well as Exclusive Mode and Audio enhancements in Windows:

Spoiler
  1. Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound > Sound Control Panel, switch to the Communications tab and set "When Windows detects communications activity" to Do nothing.
  2. Head back to the Playback tab, then right-click your audio output device and select Properties. In the new window that pops up, switch to the Advanced tab and untick "Exclusive Mode" + "Enable audio enhancements".

Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes 👍
