On my pc whenever I open Spotify on my windows 11 pc the screen starts violently flickering. I have turned off hardware acceleration and this has not fixed anything.

Hey there!

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to see this has been happening to you! It's quite odd.

Does the issue occur only with Spotify but with both the desktop app and the Web Player and does it happen with any other resource-demanding apps like games etc.?

If this is not a laptop but a desktop PC, make sure all of the monitor's cables are correctly plugged in, not loose and undamaged.

Once this is done, verify if all your drivers are up to date. You can do so by following this short tutorial video.

Tip: Whenever you see screen flickers, this is often either because the graphics card is failing, or because its currently installed drivers need updating.

Hope this helps! Keep us posted 🙂

I've been struggling with this as well, finally decided to dig into it, and lo and behold it only happens when I launch the Spotify app or use the web version. I am using a Lenovo laptop with one of their docking stations. Two monitors plugged in, one with HDMI and the other with USB-C. Only the one with HDMI flickers, if that provides any insight. My drivers are up to date, and otherwise this setup peforms flawlessly.

It is a desktop but I have adjusted the cables and the gpu itself to check for dust but no change. I have updated drivers and no fix. I am also able to run intensive games like the last of us with no issue. I will test on another gpu my friend has and update

Hey there, I might try it with usbc but at the moment I'm using display port. Let me know if you find anything.
