"New version, restart" endless loop

Solved!

"New version, restart" endless loop

I am using the Windows desktop client.

For now 2 days, the desktop client shows a blue bar with the message "Hallo. Wir haben eine neue Version von Spotify für Dich. *Jetzt neu starten* und die neue Version nutzen." roughly translated: "Hi, we have a new version for you. *Restart now* and use the new version."

When I click on the link "Restart now" / "Jetzt neu starten" the client closes, and restarts. And a few seconds later the blue bar re-appears again.

No matter how often I do this (even with computer restarts in between), the blue bar keeps popping up again and again.

Is there a way to get rid of that? It's totally annoying. I just want it to update and don't bother me again until there really is new update.
