"Stop" Media keyboard function does not return to start of track

"Stop" Media keyboard function does not return to start of track

Hi all,

I have noticed that Spotify does not have a "Stop" track function built in. My keyboard has the usual media keys i.e. Play/Pause, Stop, Skip Back, Skip Forward, but I have noticed however when I press the "Stop" media key Spotify does not return to the start of the track i.e. 0:00. It instead simply just pauses the track, as if i was to use the Play/Pause media key.

Other media players, currently and always have done, used "Stop" to effectivly pause and restart the song.

Is this intentional, or is this a bug?

Thanks!

Call it a 'freestyle' move from the development stack. It was never there, and if you need to run it's power without the need to press both Stop and then Play, go directly (while playing) with Ctrl+[Left arrow].

Ctrl + [Left Arrow] is essentially "Skip Back", which is not quite the same as "Stop" (halting playback while also resetting the track time code).

I know I'm being picky, but the function was in till a few months back. I'm just wondering why it was removed.

Assume you own a software being run by several thousands of people at the same time, how much of this people has click on the stop button?

I feel that's the way spotify developers move on. They won't tell you if the button will come back (sincerely I have never seen it) but you can accomplish the same result with [Spacebar] and then Ctrl+Left. Since there is a way they will not threat this as a real issue, but more like a criticism to their moves (which is respectful as well)
