spotify wont let me select songs or skip

My Question or Issue

Recently when using my spotify on my PC whether it be the web browser or the app it wont let me select a song from a playlist, sometimes it occasionally lets me play a song but once i get a song going it wont let me skip or go to a new song. This has been really frustrating for me and I have spent 2 days trying to figure this out.

Thanks for reaching out to us about this - we'll be glad to help you out here.

Most common issues can be fixed with a quick reinstall of the app. In some situations however, a clean (more thorough) reinstall of the app might be needed. This way, you can start afresh with Spotify on your device. 

Check out this help page in order to find the steps for clean reinstall on a PC. 

We also suggest you try opening the Spotify web player in a private/incognito window. This step makes sure you avoid issues with your browser's cache. If that doesn't do the trick try again in a different kind of browser.

I'm having the same issue but I have reinstalled and check for updates it just won't let me select songs to listen to in my playlist and even when I try to listen to songs from another playlist
