win10/desktop: error code http 11/all commands in spotify bar greyed out

win10/desktop: error code http 11/all commands in spotify bar greyed out

Reinstalled several times, logged out of all devices, allowed spotify.exe in through firewall or disabled entirely, restarted computer, nope nothing nada. Nothing works, extremely frustrating. Works fine on android and web browser.

Could you share a screenshot of the error message? What's the app version you're using?

 

Does the same happen, if you install the app from the Microsoft Store?

I don't know where to find what version I'm running, I'm assuming the latest, since I've redownloaded the .exe several times now, and also installed from the MS store, to the same result.

Thanks for getting back to us. 

 

You mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it's more thorough than a normal one?

 

If this doesn't do the trick, we'd recommend disabling any antivirus or ad-blocking software, and turning off any VPNs if in use.

 

Lastly, could you give a different internet connection a go to see if that makes the difference?
