Profile Switching on Family/Duo Plans

Many of us have spotify family accounts in which each of us have a profile/account. Being able to profile switch would allow us to play music on our alexa speakers or a home device, while being able to control the account that's linked to it. I cannot access my wife's playlists and play them on our speakers at home while she is in her car driving and listening to her playlists because it's the same account. Allowing profile switching would alleviate issues like these. 

Simply put:

In the spotify app, allow multiple login authentications on a single device, and allow for profile switching between them, similar to what you would do for netflix or any other service.

Similar to the Spotify kids app where you can set multiple profiles. 

If they can do it there, it should a very simple process to bring across.

We're happy to announce that the option to switch between accounts is being implemented. We'll start with Android mobile devices and tablets. Remember this is slowly being rolled out for everyone, so if you don't see it now, just make sure to keep your app up to date.

At the moment, we don’t have any info to share about when this will be available for iOS users. Rest assured that any news will be posted here.

Keep in mind that this new feature is not specific to Family or Duo plans, you can switch between accounts that aren’t a part of your plan as well.

I am on Galaxy S23 and this option DOES NOT EXIST!!! No update in play store. Latest update with April 5th.
This feature IS YEARS LATE by the way! It shouldn't even require additional "Account"! Do you have multiple NETFLIX accounts? NO! Do you have multiple DISNEY+ accounts? NO! YOU HAVE ONE ACCOUNT WITH MULTIPLE PROFILES! IT ISN'T ROCKET SCIENCE!!!!!

Hey thanks for chiming in! Feels like I am somehow the only person in
spotify universe that cares about this concept. I found posts from 2016
where people were asking for the change, they also got no response and i
guess have all given up trying. Blows my mind spotify doesn't care about
this issue.
@novy has never once responded to my mentions or messages. I actually think
spotify just has this board to make users feel better, but of course aren't
actually paying any attention to the feedback.

Very excited for this to come to iOS. I subscribed to the family plan for kids music and was disappointed I couldn't easily swap accounts. The spotify kids app does not solve many problems of mixing kids music with my tastes, since that app is so limited. A simple account switcher would solve everything.

Would that feature be able to make at PC app? I have one account as private and one as smart speaker account, and I would love to manage songs at speaker while using PC

It’s been five months now. Bring this to iOS already! I’m sick of my kid’s music messing with my taste profile.
