[All Platforms] Organize Liked Songs by genre

I like the new update where you can save music into the "Liked Songs" group where it sorts music by song, album, and artist. There should also be another filter: Genre. I listen to all different genres but there are times when I want to listen to only one type of music.

Yes, one of the best features of iTunes was my ability to put my entire "Classical" or "Jazz" or "Hip Hop" collection on shuffle. I would very much like to do this within Spotify.

So Spotify, 10 pages of support for the idea of being able to organise music by genre and you still think that replying to this request with the answer "NOT RIGHT NOW" is a good thing???

Please listen to the request of your customers.

This is the greatest weakness of spotify. Please add this option

i am just thinking of moving to another music service just to get a genre type filter. it has been very difficult to listen exactly what i want

I also think that what is missing is a way to not only classify your music the way you want but also make sure that you know if you forgot to classify any artistis or music. In other words, lets say that you want to classify all your music in ten different genres, you need to know if any music is missing to be classified. thanks

The implementation of something like this is not diffcult and clearly a feature that alot of people would appreciate. Today, I wanted to see what songs I have saved that would be under the categroy of Electronic. But I cant because it doesnt exist. That seems ridiculous.

It doesnt have to be anything special. Just basic categories like Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Electronic. We arent asking for anything crazy. For reference: Just having the main categories shown on this website would be great. http://www.musicgenreslist.com

I second this, I was about to write a topic on the same subject, it's a pain to have to scroll all the artists or albums lists to choose an something you want to listen to when you have hundreds of saved albums and follwing artists on you profile.

This is a major shortcoming of the Spotify platform, one that has recently plunged me back into my ancient iPod for certain more genre-specific listenings.  Not everyone's playlist is 100% pure hiphop or whatever.  I have rock, jazz, and classical in mine, all three pretty different vibes/moods.  I do not understand Spotify's intransigence on this point.  And I shouldn't have to go dropping/dragging tunes into different playlists to accomplish this.  What a pain...

Again so wonderful idea made "Never to Spotify". I mean do they really like music? Let me be clear. Many of us wants to collection various genres. House, Dance/handsUp, even some Pop... and what's wrong with Spotify not to allow us to see our Your Music, even if it is limited to 10K tracks, genre based? Moving out of Spotify, not only I get rid of stupid limit on Collection, but also I have genre based selections on it. I mean sometimes you want to listen trance, sometimes dance, sometimes hardstyle. Why to see your collection as a simple "one genre"?

In this service they categorise my collection this way:

Playlsits, Radio channels, Artists, Albums, Songs and Genres.

 bogus.PNG

Of course some of these genres are bogus, like Alternative/Indie, Pop and Western Europe, as releases are all Dance/handsup - but it is of course the decision of labels what they put as genre. But it works well especially when most of releases are anyway into right category - dance music.

EDIT:

WOW - just got rid of bogus genres. Thank you Google!!! When you add release to collection, they add option to edit ALBUM details - so I changes these bogus genres to Dance/Electronic and now I have only Dance/Electronic option. No bogus genres like classical! ALSO I can correct meta data if there is misspelled artists or names, right now corrected (Megastylez Remx) to (Megastylez Remix) even if I don't own the track - I stream everything. Spotify really needs the same feature.

Well,

why in my music i can't sort by genres ?

Or why i can't organize my music that i want....

For example in a repertory the music's boy and in other my music ?

tks...
