Continue audio session from desktop to phone and vice versa

It would be great to have the ability to continue a listening session (with previously played songs as well) when transitioning from playing songs on the desktop Spotify app, to playing on the phone app, or vice versa. 

There is not a way currently to do this other than clicking/tapping into the recommended section at the top of the app. 

There are many times when closing my laptop and stopping the music session/playlist/queue, I would like to resume the same song/playlist/queue when I get into my vehicle and open Spotify on my phone.

I'd even go as far as to say this prevents me from utilizing the Spotify service as much as I would like to, since it is inconvenient to navigate back to the same spot where I was last playing on a different device.

I believe this feature would even be more useful than restoring what was last played on that device application (whether re-opening on the desktop app or mobile) so that users can jump back to where they left off, even quicker.
