Fix Web Player Settings

The web player only has 2 options for settings, language and display (the latter only having one option, for the now playing tab). So now I'm stuck with auto-play and can't change other preferences to my liking, a problem that wasn't happening before.

Change the settings in the Web Player to include the same amount of useful options (preferably ones that aren't device exclusive) that are available on the other versions of the app.

This is not a simple request of version roll-back, but rather to have a fair relation of features across all platforms. Stop creating fake problems (because it wasn't like this before) in order to drive traffic to the app. Also if having the premium gives you this level of quality, why should I even pay?

I listen to Spotify at work, but we can't download the app on our work computers. It would be nice to be able to toggle explicit music (AT LEAST) in the web player, so I don't have to go to my phone every time.

Don't worry, your Idea will still be able to gain more votes, and may get a Live Idea status if it receives enough of them.

Autoplay_is_Trash

Dear Spotify,

When will you learn, nobody cares about autoplay or auto-generated radio stations (which fail to show me anything new or obscure I haven't already listened to anyway). The only person who should decide what music I listen to is either ME or the artist whose album/EP I am experiencing. That means when an album ends, the music must STOP. Like any other work of art, such as a tv episode or movie, there is a natural progression to an album: from the hook of the intro track, to the meat and potatoes of the title track, to the ballad, etc. and it typically ends on a finale track. After the climax and subsequent finale, you have that sense of closure and don't need to listen to anymore. Randomly playing something after that is both unexpected and jarring, and it ruins that sense of closure. Before a month ago, the music on the web player always stopped at the end. Now all of a sudden you force autoplay on and remove any settings feature so it can't be turned off? What kind of a horrible decision is this, to intentionally make your service worse?

milanarda

Web player is broken! I don't want to listen to some random music after the chosen album is finished. Our workplace doesn't allow us to install the desktop version so I'm forced to listen on web player. How come you force autoplay on our poor souls?

richardkranz

I want the option to turn off autoplay.
