It should be possible to turn off all video content

Irreapective if you are on wifi or not. As a parent this would be an important feature

Agreed. The last thing parents need is another video app. Spotify used to represent a break from that, where kids could listen to music and audiobooks without getting sucked into screentime.

Yes!!

As a parent this is very problematic for us at bedtime. My kid listens to music to fall asleep, but gets sucked these video suggestions. Spotify needs to provide an option to disable these stupid music video suggestions, or they'll soon lose 1 Family account. (Of course Canvas is already disabled.)

I have turned off Canvas, but my toddler figured out how to navigate to the Cocomellon videos which are highly addictive.  If we give him our phone with Spotify open, he immediately goes to the Cocomellon videos.

You really need to have a way to block videos at least for kids accounts.  I am considering getting another music service because I really want to support my toddler's musical curiosity, but can't have him addicted to watching the video that should be able to be blocked on Spotify.

Not only for parents. I am listening Spotify on my smartTV and don't want videos for distractions (otherwise would watch YouTube). Every time I turn videos off it only works until I turn off the tv, then next time it starts again.

I agree, for this reason I am switching to another music service for the family.

Agreed. Going to switch to another music service. Caught the kids watching Mr. Beast - just do a quick search. Love it when the kiddos to listen to music and believe it's really important for their developing brains, but the allure of the mindless video is too strong and is just the opposite of what their brains need. And yes, Canvas is turned off.

Great idea. We have the same parental issues. If we could get rid of the video component it would be a great platform for our 10 year old.

Surprising that this is only voted 37 times.

I don’t get the impression that Spotify takes this serious anytime soon. Have to convert back to apple music I guess.
