Option to prevent synching between devices.

I am a premium subscriber. 

I am planning to quit Spotify because I am utterly sick of the way it doesn't let me keep listening to a playlist on a device (e.g. listening to a podcast on my phone when I'm going to work) if in between I listen to something else on another device (e.g. background music while I'm working). When I start going home, I want to be able to just turn on the podcast where I left off. I don't want to have to stop and search for it again and try to find the right spot because some **bleep** at Spotify assumed that I wanted to keep listening to the background music I was listening to at work. 

It's not rocket science!

Even if some people want synching, at least make it optional !!!
