live broadcast - become a dj in your own radio

a service for premium users only - user builds a playlist that is set for the broadcast - user can broadcast only when this playlist is playing - after 60 days with the service active (# of hours broadcasted) a new feature is enabled - with this feature the DJ can add maximum of 120 seconds of speech - the speech can only reach to 20% of music time.

user is given music from the whole platform to broadcast, only to other premium users - for non-premium users there is a teaser or one song to bring them to becoming premium users.

as this service for the broadest audience, the maximum effect comes with two types of content - live concerts and genre-related celebrities (DJs, producers, bands... etc.

One can very vividly imagine a live New Years concert, broadcasted live on Spotify, to millions of listeners.

The big question is the unwanted content that might appear with the free speech - the rules would have to cover the legal side of things but the second-level moderation would have to be done via the community - e.g. there is an unwanted speech noticed/reported by listener, reviewed by the moderation team and solved with the user. As there has to be a identification/validation process involved with enabling the speech feature, the might be a strong force to not do any harm as the account can be closed.

platform-wise this feature does not require that much as it utilizes the existing technology and the purpose of the platform itself - music.

Server-wise there would have to be adjustments surely.

As a power user I sometimes find myself in a need of a curated playlist, ergo the DJ.

Should you find this idea worth trying I would be more than happy to help with designing/prototyping it.

this could also be pre-recorded and published as a podcast about music with music in it. So you get a chance to hear your podcasters music and get the list included. 

Would enable podcasts such as album reviews and listing the best of the year without risking take-downs from copyright like on youtube.
