How do I like all songs on an album at once?

How do I like all songs on an album at once?

I tried adding an entire album to my Liked playlist but the only way I saw to do it was by going into each song and manually adding it. What happened to the heart button? Am I missing something?

I would also add that there should be an option on an album to add all songs in that album to a playlist. Having to add every song individuals is hard and time-consuming.

Please add an option, Spotify!

Hi andrewcraiglive,

This feature does exist! To add all songs from an album directly to any of your playlists. I'd be happy to show you how, see below for a step by step guide followed by a short video. 🙂

Mobile:

  1. Open the Spotify application.
  2. Tap the album to open it.
  3. Click the 3 dots underneath album title.
  4. Click "Add to playlist".
  5. Select the playlist you'd like to add it to.

Desktop:

Method 1

  1. Open the Spotify application.
  2. Right click the album title or cover.
  3. Click "Add to playlist".
  4. Select the playlist you'd like to add it to.

Method 2

  1. Open the Spotify application.
  2. Select the album by left clicking it.
  3. Left click the 3 dots underneath album title.
  4. Click "Add to playlist".
  5. Select the playlist you'd like to add it to.

Hi boomsticks,

This feature does exist! To add all songs from an album directly to any of your playlists. I'd be happy to show you how, see below for a step by step guide followed by a short video. 🙂

Mobile:

  1. Open the Spotify application.
  2. Tap the album to open it.
  3. Click the 3 dots underneath album title.
  4. Click "Add to playlist".
  5. Select the playlist you'd like to add it to (in this case it'll be the "Liked Songs" playlist).

**This method is only available via mobile version - from my testing the "Liked Songs" playlist does not show on the desktop version**

Desktop:

  1. Open the Spotify application.
  2. Select the album by left clicking it.
  3. Left click (one time) on the first song name.
  4. Hold Shift + Left click (one more time) on the last song name.
  5. Click "Save to your Liked Songs".

**Similarly, this method is only available via desktop version because you cannot left click on a mobile device**

This feature no longer exists.

On Desktop, selecting all the songs and opening "Add to playlist..." or clicking the album's ... menu and selecting "Add to playlist..." no longer shows Liked Songs as an option. It does on mobile, so I have to switch to my phone just to like the songs in an album I'm listening to on Desktop.

Is there really no longer any way to do this on Desktop?

This was really annoying me too but just discovered in desktop if you follow the instruction below but just drag them over to 'liked songs' instead of to trying ''save' them it works!

Desktop:

  1. Open the Spotify application.
  2. Select the album by left clicking it.
  3. Left click (one time) on the first song name.
  4. Hold Shift + Left click (one more time) on the last song name.
  5. Click "Save to your Liked Songs".
