Good day. I have a problem with this release from the label. Why are you writing off plays? We promote the track through a promo company and there are real listeners from all over the world. What's the problem, why is that? Have you updated anything?

That is weird. They have been out of my playlists for over a month like app. Then they were back in for about 2 days. Then they were greyed out again, and now they are there. Is there a reason why this is happening?

Hello,

It's understandable that you're concerned about plays being written off, especially after investing in promotion. Here's a breakdown of potential reasons and how to address the issue:

Possible Reasons for Play Write-Offs:   e-zpassnj

Bot Activity/Fraudulent Streams:
Streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and others have sophisticated algorithms to detect and remove artificial streams. These can originate from bots, click farms, or other methods designed to inflate play counts. Even if a promo company is used, it's possible that some of their methods trigger these flags.
Sudden, unusually high spikes in plays, especially from specific regions or with consistent patterns, are often red-flagged.
Platform Updates and Algorithm Changes:
Streaming platforms frequently update their algorithms to improve accuracy and combat fraud. These updates can sometimes lead to adjustments in play counts, even for legitimate streams.

Best Regards
