Share your favorite acoustic passages in songs

Have you ever found yourself listening to a track, and really appreciated a passage where you think the acoustic instruments sound fantastic?

Perhaps the entire song features acoustic instruments, or perhaps only certain passages do. Either way, feel free to share a link to the track (there’s info here about how to do that)—as well as to mention at which moments you can hear your favorite acoustic passage(s), and why you think the acoustic instruments sound so nice during these moments.

For me, one song that comes to mind is “The 12th Vigil” by the Belgium-based progressive psychedelic/stoner rock band Grotto:

Most of this song features electric guitars, and I’d say it sounds quite nice from start to end, but I think one of the ways in which this song is relatively unique among the other songs in my Spotify library is that the last 2 minutes or so of the song are entirely acoustic guitar playing. For some reason, the meandering acoustic guitar patterns that comprise this “outro” of sorts create a sort of atmosphere that, at least for me, evokes the thought of contemplating by a fire; I’d say this passage sounds mostly peaceful and relaxing, yet somehow the acoustic guitar’s tone and melodies make it a compelling and engaging listen for me, as I always look forward to hearing this acoustic outro. I also think it’s just impressive that the guitarist is so good at playing both electric and acoustic guitars.

Hi Adam! Difficult to answer, but I'll give it a try. From my playlist I really like the acoustic passages in songnumbers (1) Lhasa De Sela, (4) Bridget St John, (5) Lily Hayes, (27) Cowboy Junkies, (28) The Secret Sisters, (30) Fairport Convention, (32) Lisa Nilsson and (53) Bridget St John - and that's just a start, as there are more than 400 tracks on this playlist. Well, at least you've got an impression of the music I like - and, yes, I know, I do have other playlists that are (very) different from this one.
