Serge Gainsbourg really had an impact on me, Je t’aime was released in my late teens, the literal translation is wonderful as is the music, Jane Birkin had a fine voice too.
I know the lyrics are a little, shall we say descriptive, but hey, he did write other great stuff as well. Must look up Francoise Hardy.
