Spotify has a lot of amazing, undiscovered artists. Some of them just need a push into the spotlight.
So in this thread you can recommend your favorite artists with less than 500 followers.
To insert a Spotify Play Button just:
1. Pick a track from the artist/ band.
2. Right click and select Copy Embed Code.
3. Paste it in the HTML tab on your community post.
Lately I've been listening to a lot of Psyence Fiction (34 followers). Recommended to me by @Jamie
UPDATE: Don't feel like digging through the whole thread for new tunes? Here's a handy playlist for you. Hit shuffle and enjoy:

I have no idea how to do that cool thing you did your post Meredith but I recommend "Vise Versa" they have one "album" called Like A Glove. 6 tracks and that is all you get but it has been a favorite CD of mine for a long time
They are a bit harder but if you want one of the coolest Kats In the world.....Bex Marshall. She just rocks this world with a classy and rough voice with some awesome instrumentals that are folky, bluegrassy, and a tad jazzy. She really is awesome

Hello !
A few others
EAUX (183 followers) - This experimental synth outfit deserves more followers
BEVERLY (279 followers) - Interesting Brooklyn-based duo
SOFT PINK TRUTH (171 followers) - For me, "Why Do The Heathen Rage" is one of the best album released in 2014. Electronic profanations of black metal classics from Drew Daniel, one-half of experimental electronica duo MATMOS

This is one of my favourite songs, it's from their acoustic EP:
I'd forgotten all about these guys until just now, but I went to see them at London's 100 Club a few years ago. Fun night. I guess they haven't quite made it to the big time yet!
And a user pointed out a problem with this guy's artist page, so I had a listen and thought it was nice:
