Downtime 27th June: App crashing on Android

Hey folks!

We're seeing reports that the Android app is crashing. This seems to affect Android 14 devices mostly. Some users are also seeing an error message upon opening the app.

Message came up saying that there is a bug. Please try again after it has been fixed.

I opened my Spotify today to find it closed automatically sending a message that there is a bug and I need to clear the cache. after doing so I reinstalled the app, still didn't work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and cleared the cache but it still doesn't work. I assume the only fix is an update fixing the bug?

When i start the app it starts as usualy but after like 1s it just turns off and says spotify stoped i have Infinix note 30 pro witch is almost Brand new phone i have it for like 5 months

As the subject states, the app shuts down immediately on my S20.  Did a uninstall, delete cache/memory and re-installed.  No help.

Open app on my phone and after 3 seconds closes with an error message saying there is a bug, I have cleared cache, cleared data uninstall and reinstalled app, restarted phone and nothing is fixing it help!! Android Samsung Galaxy Z Flip

After an update my account got a bug that every time i open the app it crashes i tried deleting the app and a lot of other stuff also tried making another account which worked and didnt crash the app so im confused on whats wrong with my main account

Hello. The spotify app on my phone turns on for a second and turns off immediately. I think I’ve tried everything, including uninstalling the app, but it didn’t work. Please help.

Same thing on wife's account but log into mine and it works on same device. Waiting on reply from spotify
