Accidentally dismissed pop up

Accidentally dismissed pop up

I came on Spotify to a cool pop up of “what was the first song you listened to this year? Make your guess and tap when you’re ready.” I really wanted to see it but when I swiped to my Home Screen because I didn’t have time now it dismissed it. I’ve tried opening it and resetting my phones date and time to hope it would pop back up but it won’t.. Is there anywhere I could find it again? There were two other little tabs with it and I’m curious what they said and want to see my first song of the year!!

Thanks for any help 🙂

Just had the same thing, accidentally dismissed it and would love to get it back.

Same here, would really love to access it again.

as usual terrible spotify ux 🤯

same, i didn’t get to see it at all

Same here, was going to pause what I was listening to, to play it and as soon as I opened the notification shade it disappeared 😕

Silly, thought it would have at least been in the notification section of the app or something but nope.

Hey there folks,

Thanks for getting in touch with us and welcome to the Community.

Another year has passed and it's time for some new Wrapped experience! The pop up message that you've accidentally dismissed might be a part of our active Wrapped campaign.

You don't have to be worried that you've missed it, who knows what else may pop up in the next few months! 🙂

We also appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us and will make sure to pass it onto the right team, as we always strive to improve your experience.

Stay tuned,

Cheers!

This answer hasn’t addressed the concerns at all. We are worried that we’ve
missed the notification or we wouldn’t be posting on the community pages.
Saying “don’t worry because there’s others” isn’t helpful to the question
posted.

Please at least try to help us by seeing if you can resend the notification
to us so we can experience Wrapped the same as everyone else.

Thank you.

Hi !

It's the same for me. Was listening to music, click on the song, and then nothing appeared. I reset my app but eveything is gone :'( I just wanted to know my first song !

This does not help at all. Terrible answer!

Same, I closed the pop up and was wondering how I could get it back 😕

WORST ANSWER EVER
FIX THE PROBLEM, DON'T TELL US TO "NOT WORRY"

GET THE POP-UP BACK

ANY "SOLUTION" THAT DOESN'T GET THE POP-UP BACK TO THOSE WHO CLOSED IT ACCIDENTALLY IS COMPLETELY *USELESS*.

Please actually solve the problem. This "solution" solves nothing.

hiya, so I ran into the same problem today more or less. I went to close the app right before i sat an exam and accidentally dismissed the pop up that leads to the wrapped video/slideshow and now I can't seem to access it.

i've updated the app, logged in and out, deleted cache, reinstalled – everything you could think to do and still nothing.. but i did find something on their actual youtube. Apparently if you enter "spotify:datastories:wrapped" directly into the search bar it brings about this blank wrapped video template.

i know it's not a complete solution, but i was hoping if i shared this info maybe someone else might figure out how to fix it.

hope it gets resolved for everyone affected <:-))

Remove the app and install again, that’s what worked for me!!

I think I found a sort of solution.

The same thing happened to me, I opened spotify and saw the wrapped message but dismissed it accidentally as I was trying to check a message.

SOLUTION: To fix it I tried updating the app and re-installing it and everything, none of which worked. Ultimately I opened spotify's web player (on my phone not on my laptop since it said it needed a mobile device to work) and the popup came up again. I was able to access the whole wrapped story.

Funnily enough the same thing happened to me last year and I solved it the same way but it took a while for me to remember. It's still super inconvenient though, wish they would find a better way, like putting it in the notifications like someone suggested.

What browser and phone are you using? When I try to open web player from my phone (using Brave (which is a browser)) it directs me to the app, so I uninstalled it (the Spotify app) and tried again but this time it gave me an error and didn't open any player

I updated my app and it worked. Double check in your App Store as I thought mine would have auto updated but it didn’t and it fixed it

this is sort of unrelated – not a solution (sorry 😕 ) – but i emailed spotify to resolve it and they responded by saying i was suddenly not eligible for spotify wrapped.

i did't know there was criteria to get one, but even if there was i must've been meeting them for the last two or three years; i have a premium account and that hasn't changed, not to mention i got the prompt to watch my wrapped which sparked all this nonsense in the first place.

i just checked the app again and i did find something.. they privated the tops songs of 2022 playlist that comes with the wrapped and theres no trace of any of it in my feed now :-))) .

so much for my wrapped collection i guess; must've upset them lol.

No. Updating the app is not solving it. I guess that would be a solution if you just never got prompted to see your wrapped and then you update it and now you do get prompted. But the problem described here is different: we did get prompted, we got the pop-up to watch it but accidentally dismissed it and now there is no way to watch it. I am not assuming, however, that you didn't have this problem and it got fixed by updating, but at least in my case that doesn't solve it. I already had the latest version since before all this and still I have this problem
