Album releases significantly later than planned, ruining listening party.

Album releases significantly later than planned, ruining listening party.

This is a platform-agnostic issue as I have tried Linux, Windows and ios, as well as the web version. I have tried relogging and deleting the cache but nothing has worked. I can only assume Spotify has gotten my time zone incorrect or something but I cannot find any information about it anywhere in my user settings - only a generalized "country or region" which is listed as "USA" which obviously does not have anything about time zone. As passionate music listeners in a world where stadiums can sell out in minutes and we may count down the seconds to a new release, having an unplanned delay of more than twice the length of the album itself is frankly insulting.

If you're an Artist and you're having issues (like delayed live release), we suggest you get in touch with our team at Spotify for Artists. These folks specialize in queries submitted to Spotify by artists and content creators.

They should be able to help you more specifically with the issue you’re addressing.
