Apple Car Play Ford Explorer 2017 Problem

I can play spotify just fine but when i disconnect my phone, go run into the store, come back, plug my phone back in and hit play on the screen spotify plays the music twice as fast as normal.  Even if I play different songs or play lists its stuck at this 2x rate.  I need to grab my iphone, double tap the home button, swipe up on spotify and restart it.  Very annoying!

Can you let us know which device and Spotify version you're using? Also, when did this started happening?

iPhone 5s. It's always happened. Latest Spotify. Killing the app and
starting it again fixes but it's pretty annoying. Happens on my wife's 5s
too. Chipmunk music.
