Artists piggybacking off popular artists

Artists piggybacking off popular artists

So, I was checking some of the artists I follow when I saw that Skrillex released two new tracks. Except he didn't, some random rapper is calling himself Skrillex in order to get his songs on the artist page of somebody more popular than him. I'm pretty sure this isn't exactly allowed, so is there any way that Spotify deals with this?

Hey @Worldracer99, thanks for your report!

Thanks for the great detective work. I've taken a look and it looks like these albums aren't on Skrillex' page anymore. If you see any more like these, feel free to give me a shout. 🙂

Thanks again and have an awesome day!

There's another way of piggybacking I found on spotify. You marking that famous artist as featured. But the old thing is still there and working. Working unless manager/label or famous artist himself ask spotify to remove these releases.
