Audiobooks in English While Residing in a Non English Country

Audiobooks in English While Residing in a Non English Country

While browsing audiobooks, I only get recommendations in Dutch or French (as I livein Belgium). However, I am NOT Belgian and want to see books in my chosen genres that are narrated in English. Not just a singular "Books in English" category that displays no more than 10 books from various (sub)genres with NOTHING in common.

What if I go on a trip to China? Will I only get content in Chinese? How is this "function" in any way logical or helpful to anyone? If English has been the chosen language for the app to be displayed in, CLEARLY, someone wanted THAT language in particular for all of their podcasts and audiobooks, too.

If the issue can't be solved, at least explain why.

Apparently, there's also a character limit to prevent more details from being added. Makes sense. Anyway, what I wanted to say at the end was that I know the issue can't be fixed, as just like Netflix, there's a genius working at Spotify who assumes people are like plants and never leave the country they were born in. My question is - why? Who made that executive decision? Why did they make it? Did they have any logical arguments for it or were they dropped on their head as a baby but are now too high up for anyone to criticise them?

All I want to know is why. Clearly I'm a frustrated individual so in order to accept this bs I need to at least know that some thought went behind it. A singular semi-logical reason. I need but a crumb thrown at me to not lose my shi- ...I mean, mind, at how incredibly stupid so many algorithms are made.
