Automated ads preventing podcast from starting

I think I am having a different issue which has to do with the automated ads preventing my podcasts from starting. It happens in particular with on of my favourite podcasts. I listen from my new episodes feed (my preferred way to listen) and the ad plays then the podcast doesn't start. It's frustrating as when I select it again, it will play another ad but not start. the only work around is for me to go into the episode page and select a chapter and then skip back. This completely interrupts my queue of new podcasts - I listen on android and have a duo paid account. The podcast is Another Mother Runner

We've moved your post to a separate thread, since this sounds like a different issue as you mentioned, hope you don't mind!

It'd be great if you can test this out on a different device and network if available. A screen recording would also help us take a closer look, so it'd be great if you can make one the next time you get an ad when trying to listen to this podcast. If the file is too large to attach, you can upload it to Google Drive (make sure to allow general access to the file) or as an unlisted YouTube video.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
