BMW connected drive issue with recent spotify app update 8.5.40

My Question or Issue

The music plays and the track name and picture comes up when I first connect to the car (bluetooth) but when I skip to the next song, the track name doesnt refresh and the picture doesnt refresh either. It just keeps displaying the first song that played when I first got into the car and connected. I am still able to use the car controls to skip songs and go to previous songs, but the track name doesnt refresh and the album/track artwork doesnt refresh either. I drive a 2015 BMW 528i. Hope Spotify can fix this on their next update as it was all working fine with the previous version of the app.

I have this problem too. Also, when I use the USB. cable, it works for a while and then crashes. Please can someone sort it. It’s very annoying!
