Hello,
for some reason, I am unable to add my own playlists to playlist folders. I have created a folder, and when I try to drag playlists into the folder to add them, I see the + icon that looks like it is adding the playlist to the folder, but it does not actually get added. It just moves the playlist I am trying to add above the the folder I am trying to add it to.
I am using Spotify desktop on Windows 10.
Thanks
Hi @burtron9000, welcome to the Spotify Community!
To start, can you let us know the model of your device and also the version of Spotify you're using?
There might be another way do this. Try to expand the folder so you can see the all playlists that are in there. Then, drag the playlist you want to move in between the playlists that are in the folder.
We'll be waiting for your response 🙂
Thanks for the info @burtron9000!
This is really odd. Does the same thing happen if you try to add a song to any playlists if you try to drag it the same way?
Also, we'd like you to try to reinstal Spotify by following these steps.
Let us know if it makes any difference.
In this case, would it be possible for you to try and access from a different account? We'd like you to check if the same thing happens.
Keep us posted @burtron9000.
Sorry for the delay...
I logged into my wife's spotify account on my computer and experienced the same behavior as before.
was this ever resolved? I'm experiencing the same problem on the windows 10 desktop app. I've installed & reinstalled, no dice.

I have Mac mini with spotify app. the on the desktop app everything is ok so maybe there is a bug on iOS
Hi there @Nir888,
Thanks for reaching out about this.
In this case we'd recommend running a clean reinstall of the app on your iPhone. You can follow the device specific steps from this guide.
If that doesn't change anything, could you tell us if you've tried logging in with your account on your friend's phone?
Uploading some screenshots or a short screen recording would also be helpful 🙂 You can attach them to your next response.
We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
After reinstalling Spotify everything works great.
Thank you
UPDATE! - Problem NOT solved!
I hope spotify team will fix this issue soon.
Hey there @Nir888,
Thanks for getting back to us and confirming that the clean reinstall solved the issue.

We're always a click away 🙂
Hey there @Nir888,
Thank you for your reply.
You should see the button "Accept as solution" or similar and if you can't, no worries, I'll be marking it for you 🙂

The same problem is back.
Creating new playlist into playlist-folder not working!
the playlist created to the root-level
Hey there @Nir888,
Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
The fact that a clean reinstall fixed things albeit temporarily hints that something might be interfering with the app's cache. Make sure to exclude Spotify from all battery and storage optimization and run a clean reinstall once more, that should fix things. It's also a good idea to make sure that the Spotify app has all necessary permissions enabled.
If the issue persists, we'd appreciate a recording of what you see at your end. You can use the Insert Video option in the post editor, just make sure to hide any private or sensitive info.
Hope this helps. Keep us posted on how it goes.
Hey @Nir888,
Apologies for the confusion.
By this we mean all battery and storage optimization apps and services that might be active on your device.
Let us know if that did the trick.
