Can't see all songs on followed playlist?

I'm listening to a playlist that my friend created and I follow. When I look at her activity, I see her listening to songs that say it's in the same playlist but when I look at the playlist on my end, I don't see certain songs listed. I've cleared cache, logged out and in and checked on different devices but still didn't help. Not sure if it matters but I'm on ios/mac.

Is it only you that cannot see inconsistencies like this or others users also? Try and test this with more people if possible.

In general though, there are several possible reasons why this might be happening. If some of the songs in the playlist are local files, then only the creator who has the songs on their device will be able to see and play them. Also, if you and the other person have accounts in different countries, differing availability of the songs may also play a role.
