Can you shuffle podcast episodes?

Under your episodes which are all podcasts, I want to listen to my episodes randomly via shuffle. I don’t think this is possible?

Thanks for reaching out. You can add podcast episodes to a playlist and then shuffle that playlist. This should achieve the effect you're looking for.

I used to be able to shuffle podcasts playlists on my old phone but my new phone cannot. I can shuffle music playlists.

Note that the mobile app doesn't have the Shuffle button on the Now Playing View for podcasts, but you can still shuffle a regular playlist with podcasts from Playlist View instead:

In case you meant the Your Episodes folder, it doesn't currently support Shuffle mode, but if this is something you'd like to see in the app you can submit an idea about it on our Idea Exchange board. Other can then vote for it and comment to show their support. When an idea reaches the required amount of votes it is sent to our internal teams for review and consideration. I was able to make it work by adding 1 song to my playlist of podcasts episodes. I have certain shows I like the reruns to fall asleep. But I like a randomized order everyday so it's a different set of episodes on the top. I am not using the "My Episodes" Folder. Playlists

Thanks for getting back to us. 

We tried this on our end and it worked as expected. Just to confirm, have you added a song to the playlist you showed us in the screenshot?

If so and the shuffle won't appear, it's well worth running a clean reinstall of the app on your phone to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble. 

If this doesn't do the trick, would you mind logging in to your account on a different device to see if the same happens?

I also have a playlist with all podcasts but no shuffle button appears. I'm a premium customer.  How can I get this playlist to shuffle? There is no shuffle icon in any view, on my mobile app.

I added 1 song to all my podcast playlists and it worked for me. Hope that

I cannot add any songs to my podcast playlist that is created automatically by spotify when i like or save podcast episodes.

The solution that worked for me was with my own curated playlists, with
it's own Playlist title,not the "my episodes" auto-list that is created by
Spotify. I have 4 to 5 podcast playlists where this worked.

I can shuffle podcasts when I create a unique playlist whether or not there is music in it.  However I’m unable to shuffle podcasts in ‘Your episodes’ and can’t add music to that playlist.  Is there a way to add this feature to that playlist?  Or, to convert ‘Your episodes’ to another playlist without going one by one through each podcast saved in ‘Your episodes’?

On a Premium account. Shuffle is not enabled for a playlist I have for podcasts on the Android app, whilst it is for other playlists of music and for that sane playlist on my PC.

Can you help me why I can not find shuffle button on my podcast playlist? It was there couple months ago, and i can not find it about a month ago until now. I have tried to uninstall and install the apps again but nothing helps.
is ther anyone else with the same problem?
