My Question or Issue

I live in western Switzerland where the ad coverage is terrible (although the spoken language is french, most ads are in german), and I got really attached to the german Spotify ads. Recently though, Spotify updated and the ads are now in french, and I despise them. Please, how can I go back to the german ads ?

Welcome to the Community and thank you for posting. 

For what you mention, your account is registered in Switzerland which is a multi language country. In this case, please make sure your app is set in the correct language in which you wish to receive the ads.

Does this work in Canada to eliminate french ads in non french provinces?

The only option I have is a country selector, not for type of language. I don't want french ads.

edit: 7 days later I can say nope. Still get French ads.  hey spotify can you fix this? ( not expecting a reply)

I just installed the app today. My settings are already set to English and I still got Spanish ads.

Hey, I live in America but prefer my ads in french. I have my app language set to french but all of my ads are still in English. I cannot change the language of the device I use as it doesn't belong to me, but I want to find a way to stop the english ads?

Me too!! I'm a swede living in New Zealand, and yet I'm receiving German ads?!?! also Audio books are only appearing in German 😞 my spotify is set to english.... why is this happening?

My Question or Issue

I have a premium Spotify account and when I play podcasts though my Alexa I get adverts. If I start a podcast on my phone and then cast it to Alexa in the Spotify app it begins the advert as soon as I cast, even if there was no advert on my phone.

these adverts are often foreign. I don’t use a vpn and these are English or American podcasts.

pretty much every single ad i get is in spanish. im in the US and have no connection to any spanish speaking nations. i have no idea what happened but its very distracting when im trying to work.

Same problem in Latvia. I use English language everywhere, but still get ads on Latvian language.
