Collaborative playlist issues, ongoing harassment from a user

Collaborative playlist issues, ongoing harassment from a user

I share playlists around with some friends and we've discovered that there are users that go into every collaborative playlist they find and deletes all the songs, replacing them with obscene messages in the form of song titles or just with "18 naked cowboys" tracks. The only report function available is to report the profile picture of the user, which doesn't matter because their profile is blank. The playlist can't be reverted and the user can't really be stopped from changing it again even if you block them.

While I haven't seen this sort of behavior before, it seems like there should be some kind of usable block or permissions function for playlists, or a usable report feature where you can report abuse or harassment for other reasons.

Hey @akimika,

Thanks for the post.

Sorry to hear that this is happening with your Collaborative playlists.

There are other users who feel that there should be more control over who can access and edit Collaborative playlists. Add your +Vote to this Idea to show support. The more votes an idea gets, the more likely it is to get implemented.

Additionally, you can block the user by opening their profile > click the 3-dot menu > select Block

This will prevent them from viewing and following your public profile.

Hope this info helps 🙂
