Could it be possible Spotify randomly AI generated a cover for my playlist?

I have a very old playlist from 2018 that I started and never finished. It has one song and until recently it had no cover. Now there seems to be a cover put on with AI generated ice cubes and married couples. When I search for the playlist there is another AI generated cover with what seems like the last supper. Am I a patient of some AI cover generation feature testing?

Thanks for reaching out. We'll gladly help you investigate this peculiar case.

Spotify won't add images to playlists or edit them in any way on its own, this is something that has to be done manually. If you don't assign an image to a playlist, then the default image will simply be a collage of the album covers of the songs inside. Check if perhaps the images you got are from the songs instead. 

If things still don't add up, feel free to send us some screenshots of what you see so we can take a closer look. If the files are too large to attach here in the Community, you can send them to us via Google Drive or as unlisted YouTube videos.
