Critical UX Flaw w/ the Queue feature

Critical UX Flaw w/ the Queue feature

I've recently (6mo ago) switched over to using spotify for both music AND podcasts mainly bc you have video podcasts (cool!), but there's a critical and frustrating occurrence that keeps arising.

When I'm listening to podcasts, I'll often queue up several I want to listen to for a walk or drive, etc. I might not get through all of them, but I still want to listen next time I have a chance.

The problem is that, in between opportunities to be alone listening to podcasts, I might want to play music at home or with friends/family, but then my queued up podcasts play next.

Is there a way I could pause my podcast queue, or separate that experience out so it's not competing with songs?

You can use Spotify’s “Your Library” feature to separate podcasts and music. Create playlists for your podcasts and add episodes you want to listen to. When you switch to music, use the "Queue" feature to manage your current playback and keep podcast episodes on hold.
