Donate money link (contribute to artist) sketchy looking

My Question or Issue

Hi, what if we are not confident that donation links (links that say "Make a contribution" from some artists' page on the mobile app) are associated or authorized by the artist? For example:

The handle name matches the artist, but the recipient's human name doesn't seem to be associated with the band members. What's the vetting standard for verifying recipient's PayPal link is going to the artist?

Thank you for the post. As long as an artist is verified (look for the blue checkmark and "Verified artist" tag next to their name), then so should be any Fan Support links they've provided. All of these go through our approved support partners, as listed here. You can follow that link to contact Spotify for Artists team if you want to ask further, as they are the ones that handle these things 🙂

The support links themselves are provided to us by the managers of the artist profiles, who have their own verification process. You can find more info on the subject here. If however you still have suspicion that anything isn't as it should be, feel free to write us back and attach some screenshots of what exactly you see. We'd be happy to investigate.
